Microsoft Surface RT Makes A Good First Impression
The Microsoft Sufrace RT is trying to bridge the gap between tablet and laptop. The Microsoft Surface is the first tablet directly from Microsoft and is running Windows RT based on Windows 8. It comes with a 10.6 inch ClearType HD display and a Tegra 3 quad-core processor which is a big deal since this is the first time Windows is working on ARM based processors. There is two HD webcam, one in the front and one in the back that are both at 22 degree angle for optimal viewing even when on the built-in kickstand. That's not the only thing build it with a full USB port, Bluetooth, MIMO Wi-Fi and either 32 GB or 64 GB of storage you're getting a fully feature device. You also have the option to get the Surface with a TouchCover or TypeCover with the former being an all touch surface keyboard cover and the latter being a physical QWERTY keyboard. The covers work as both function and protection.

The setup process does take a bit of time to finish up. The questions are fairly simple but the process still takes some time to finish up. So give yourself about 15-20 minutes to finish the setup fully. Also most of the settings that you choose can be changed later in the setting so don't worry choosing an option and getting stuck with it.

My initial impressions so far is that the Surface is a really intriguing product. The hardware is stellar and feels like a high quality build.The software using Windows is definitely different from what you're been used it. There seems to be a bit of a learning curve but I've been getting used to it. The system is fast and responsive but I have noticed a few bits of lag her and there but nothing that makes the experience bad out of the box so far.
